Lunch out with Sharp

Thursday, July 21, 2016

Hi Guys! It's been so long since my last post and I apologize for that, I've been really busy with work recently and I've had numerous exhibit and art installation openings for the past few weeks and months. Anyway, this week, I got invited to Sharp Philippines mini round table discussion at Big Bad Wolf  together with fellow bloggers to share with us their newest products and technologies. The food was scrumptious and the event was really very entertaining. We got really interested in their presentation and got to ask questions that helped us understand more about their products.

To give you a little background, Sharp is a really well-known appliance brand in the Philippines even before other competitors made its way to the limelight. Sharp creates simple engineering marvels designed to make everyday life better, easier, and more convenient.

The product that I got to experience was the World's first 4K Android TV. Sharp Introduced to us their line of unique and amazing Digital TVs which are first in the country to have EWBS (Emergency Warning Broadcast System) and BML (Broadcast Markup Language). These features allow the TV to receive real-time alerts from reliable government agencies regarding natural disasters. Also it allows the TV to show Data Broadcasting, which is another way for the TV to show information on demand along with any given TV shows. It's really intriguing and exciting to know about these important factors because not only does it talk about new and modern technology, it also helps us be aware of news and current situations.

Not only that, You can also watch your favorite TV shows, play android games with a gamepad, customize viewing experience with its homescreen, sync presentations and media viewings, and more. The interface is very user friendly, it looked like a mix of windows desktop, android phone and apple TV. They also have a remote that you can use as a trackpad and a mic for audio sensible actions (like Siri for Apple).

Lastly, I also got to experience the Sharp active multimedia system which doubles as a videoke console booth with built in speaker system, 2 mic inputs, TV tuber function and USB Multimedia Function (Photo, Music, Video).

It was a really fun and enjoyable lunch with the Sharp Team and learned a lot with their new products. I'll definitely consider Sharp in buying my next TV for the house, and as well as in my exhibits.

Thank you again Sharp!
